| 13th Bi-annual general meet of PKM held | | Discrimination with displaced KPs continues: Chrungoo | | JAMMU NOV-05-Alleging that the displaced Kashmiri Pandits continue to face discrimination from the State and Central Governments, Panun Kashmir Movement President (PKM), Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo has demanded constitution of a committee for management of Hindu religious property in Kashmir Valley on the pattern of Gurudwara Prabandhak Board. Addressing the13th Bio-Annual General meeting of PKM here today, Chrungoo urged the community members to remain united to face the challenges confronting them and alleged that Kashmiri Pandits are still facing discrimination from both the State and the Central Governments. ‘The community is feeling more disgusted than anyone else as the agenda for the five working groups constituted by the Prime Minister after the second Round Table Conference has nothing for displaced community as far as their demands are concerned’, he added. Elaborating on the policy statement of PKM and the ‘on going talks with Pakistan, Chrungoo said that Pakistan is continuing to help Jehadi elements and even Indian leaders and senior Army officers have admitted that infiltration is still going on from PoK He said the PKM feels that the on going peace process should be terminated till Pakistan ends its support to the terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir’. The meeting discussed the present socio-political situation in the state and the response of displaced Pandit community. Large number of PKM activists and members from the community were present in the meeting. A policy statement was also issued on the occasion.
