NEW DELHI, Dec 13: Madam sonia ko gussa kyon aata hai?. No this is not another movie from team of talented bollywood actors who came up with ‘fas gaaye obama’. It is question with regards to Sonia Gandhi’s speech which slammed opposition.
She said that ‘India would never forget not forgive that opposition did not allow parliament to run for entire session’. She also questioned BJP’s credibility and stated that when they could not act against Karnataka Chief Minister or any one exposed by Tehelka, how they can question congress which acted swiftly against Ashok Chavan, Kalmadi to name few.
Now she has some valid points out here. It is different to claim about patriotism, being different, being nationalist and using all right words while in practice not sacking chief minister or taking action against those who are alleged for corruption. Whether BJP likes it or not, its track record has not been different as it claims to be.
Coming back to Sonia Gandhi’s projection that congress acted swiftly, well it took years for scams like CWG, Adarsh, 2g to build up. It took years for media to unearth that and once scams were out in public, congress acted. It is like trying to act to withstand public pressure and get moral high ground than making sure that scams get minimum. Not I don’t understand what is there to be proud of in that?
Instead of having corrupt free governance, it seems Sonia is more proud of having being able to sack people when caught. Now there is nothing to boast of in that. Just because congress seems to be better than BJP as far as sacking goes, that does not mean that congress becomes morally superior. It seems a childish argument.
Coming to nation would never forgive and forget ,well no one knows better than congress that people have short memory ,otherwise would Indira Gandhi have come back after emergency?. Would congress have had so many opportunities to rule when congress is responsible for so many scams and having made system what it is today?
Why people don’t trust politicians? Is it because of BJP, Left? No, Mrs. Gandhi it is because of political system of the country and whether congress likes it or not, it has ruled most in the country and so is responsible for the system which we have today. I would have been more happy to see Sonia Gandhi saying sorry to India that because their government could not stop 2g scam , because congress didn’t either know or remained silent for greed of ruling , because they could not tame DMK, we have had no session in parliament in current session.
Agreed opposition is not allowing parliament to function. Agreed they are more into getting political mileage than Rs. 1.70 lakh which government lost. But first action was from government and not if there is consequence , it is for government to say sorry for the mess to nation instead of attacking opposition.
It is sad that scams have become routine way for Indian politics and we Indians forget and forgive everything and Sonia Gandhi expects us of not forgiving opposition for stopping the parliament but forgiving 2g scam. Interesting. Isn’t it?
