Army hands over medical equipment to PHC | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Dec 13: Well-being and health care of Border Area residents of Akhnoor tehsil has been on top of the agenda of Operation Sadbhavana ventures of the pallanwala brigade and crossed swords division. In a gesture that will have far reaching effect, Pallanwala brigade today handed over a large quantity of medical equipment to the Primary Health Centre, Pallanwala, to further upgrade its infrastructure and medical facilities. Constraints of non-availability of specialist medical equipment at PHC, Pallanwala forced border area villagers to travel to Akhnoor and Jammu for medical treatment in the past. Provisioning of such medical equipment at the PHC has not only met the long standing demand but also ensured better specialist treatment at the door steps of the local population. The equipment was presented to the civil administration at a simple ceremony attended by Deputy Commander Pallanwala Brigade and Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. J.P. Singh. Ceremony was attended by Naib-Tehsildar (NT) Khour, a large section of local population and Army personnel.
