| Inter-School chess tourney from Dec 25 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, December 13: All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association is organizing an Inter-School (boys and girls) Chess Tournament at Hotel Nek, here from December 25.
The event is being organised to pick up competitive teams for the forthcoming National School Chess Tournament to be held under the banner of All India Chess Federation.
“The competition shall take place in three different age groups of below 11 year, below 14 year and above 14 year in both boys and girls sections,” president of the Association, Atul Kumar told SAN.
While the boys competition shall be held on December 25, the girls event shall been scheduled for December 26 at the same venue.
Interested schools can submit their entries at Hotel Nek, Below Gumat on or before December 24 along with an entry fee of Rs 300 per player. Players have been advised to bring their own chess boards. For further details, schools may contact Sumit Grover on Mobile No. 9858177025.
