J&K BJP gearing up for Dec 24 rally | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 13: With just 11 days left for rally to be organised at Parade on December 24, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been organizing dozens of meetings daily in different parts of Jammu province to mobilize people for their participation in it. Party senior leaders, state office bearers and MLAs have been concentrating in their respective areas and constituencies. BJP national leaders are regularly coming to Jammu to take stock of the preparations. In one such meeting of Jammu District held under the leadership of District President Rajesh Gupta, threadbare discussions were held on a number of subjects with the motive to make December 24 rally successful. Prabhari, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Om Prakash Kohli while addressing this meeting alongwith National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh, said that the party cadres have to put in more efforts to reach maximum people across the state and educate them as to why the entire top leadership of the BJP is assembling in winter capital of the state for two days. He said that while on December 23, meeting of National Office Bearers will be held at Jammu, December 24 will witness massive public rally at Parade Ground. It will be addressed by party stalwarts which include Nitin Gadkari, LK.Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley. National Executive Member & former State President Dr. Nirmal Singh, while addressing the meeting, said that BJP has taken serious note of utterances of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the issue of accession and the policy to rehabilitate militants besides delay in holding delimitation and continuous discrimination with Jammu. He said that the successive governments in the state have been of National Conference or Congress or coalition of NC-Congress and PDP-Congress. He said that December 24 rally will send message to the state government that people of Jammu cannot be taken for granted. He said this rally will also be a message for the Congress leaders to shed the “Kursi Prem” and work towards strengthening nationalist forces in the state. State General Secretary Sat Sharma (C.A.) and District President Rajesh Gupta also addressed this meeting.
