| Extension lectures held in GDC Paloura | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 13: A series of extension lectures were organized by Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura in the college premises.
A lecture on “Ways of Managing Stress and Boosting the Immune System” by Dr. Varun Suthra was organized in collaboration with the Department of Life Long Learning, University of Jammu. Prof. Hemla Aggarwal presided over the function and spoke on the necessity of understanding the ways to overcome the stress in the changing society.
Dr. Varun Suthra in his address informed the audience about the various causes of the stress and means to combat with the stress. Coordinator of the Department of Life Long Learning Dr. Pallavi Sachdeva, was also present on the occasion. Prof. B.B.Anand presented the vote of thanks.
Another extension lecture was organized by the NSS unit of the college on the topic “Human Rights in the Changing World” by Advocate Seema Shekher. In her address she informed the students that Human Rights are the rights and freedom that are entitled to all humans. Principal of the college Prof. Hemla Aggarwal also spoke on the occasion about the need to exercise human rights as a responsible citizen. The programme was conducted under the supervision of NSS Programme Officer Prof. Nisha Bhagat.
