| IT ‘help center’ to start functioning from today | | |
JAMMU NOV-05- To facilitate uploading of e-mailing of Corporate Tax Returns, the Income Tax Department is setting up a ‘Help Center’ at Rail Head here tomorrow which shall remain operational up to the end of this month. Corporate assesses desirous of filing their return electronically can avail this facility, a hand out said.
As per the electronic furnishing of return of income scheme 2004, all corporate tax payers are required to furnish the return for the assessment year 2006-07 electronically through internet from July 24,2006 and the returns filed under a digital signature and in the absence of digital signatures, the return filed electronically is to be followed by filing a paper return, the hand out added.
