| Lecture on gender sensitization | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 13: Women Development Cell (WDC) of Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura organized lecture on gender sensitization for the students of the college.
HOD Sociology, University of Jammu Prof. Dr. Abha Chouhan was the resource person. She spoke at length about the society, stereotypes and how the society was still being regulated by a patriarchal system. She also expressed her views on domestic violence, female foeticide and gender inequalities.
This was followed by an interactive session with the students where the students posed their queries regarding various women issues. Lecture was attended by the Principal Dr.Hemla Aggarwal who also responded to the queries of students and staff of the college. Welcome address was presented by Prof. Nisha Bhagat and vote of thanks was given by Prof. Puja Parihar.
