3 killed, 7 hurt in road mishaps

JAMMU, Dec 13: Three persons were killed and seven others, including five members of a family, wounded in unconnected road mishaps here since last night.
Police sources said the rear tyre of a Kathua route bus ran over Rajiv Sharma (24) at Sapwal in Samba today, resulting in his death. He hailed from Sapwal. Police had seized the bus and arrested its driver.
Sources said the incident took place when Rajiv fell from the front door while trying to board the bus. Mulkh Raj, son of Mohan Lal, died after he fell from a tractor at
Manpa in Udhampur.
Motorcyclist Vijay, son of Mohinder Singh of Ghagrod, was killed and his pillion rider Sonu, son of Bahadur Singh, wounded critically when their two-wheeler (PB35J/0292) was hit by a truck (PB06H/2677) near Basohli today.
Sonu was hospitalised. Police had seized the truck and arrested its driver Nakshat Singh of Hoshiarpur.Meanwhile, in a tractor-car collision at Batera near Kanhachak last night, five car occupants and the tractor driver were wounded. They were admitted to the GMC hospital.
