| Stop harassing Early Times: Dr. Agnishekar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 13: Democracy thrives on positive criticism, freedom of expression and independence of speaking truth without any fear or favour. However, here in Jammu and Kashmir, the same Democracy thrives on harassment and intimidation which the Early Times newspaper has been facing.
This was stated by Senior Kashmiri Pandit leader, writer and poet Dr. Agnishekar in a statement issued here today. He said that the newspaper is being punished for being voice of the oppressed class of Jammu region. "I am unable to understand what the government is going to achieve by resorting to these cheap tactics of harassing a newspaper for its righteousness," added Dr. Agnishekar.
He condemned the government attitude and vehemently appealed for stopping harassment of Early Times newspaper. |
