| President, Army chief meet children of remote areas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
New Delhi, Dec 14: It is for the first time that under-privileged children from insurgency affected remote border areas of Poonch district of J&K got an opportunity to meet both the President Pratibha Devi Patil and Chief of the Army Staff on the same day.
Inspite of their busy official schedule, the President and Army Chief took out time and had an audience with these 23 school children along with two teachers who are on an 11 days educational tour to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
The tour is being organized under Operation Sadbhavna and is being conducted by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo).
