JKHRW visit far flung areas Kalakote

Jammu, Dec 14: The state chairman J&K Human Rights Watch , B.L.Kapoor, visited far flung areas of tehsil Kalakote district Rajouri & interacted with the people and took stock of problems being faced by them.
A public meeting was also held at Bandhi – Gola upper Tarauroo where a large number of people assembled and apprised about the grievances and demands pertaining to non – availability of road, electricity, drinking water, dispensary etc. till date, beside this the misappropriation in supply of ration by the dealers also at Bandhi Gala also has been noticed by the people.
Kapoor said that the govt. of J&K under the leadership of Omar Abdullah has been doing a lot for the welfare of the people but it is unfortunate that some vested interest people have been hatching conspiracies to defame the govt. and joined with the corrupt elements thus there is a lot of misappropriation in the ration supply and prolonged in the fulfilling the demands of the people like provision of facilities through govt. had granted already.
Kapoor assured the people there for taking the matter with the govt. and also assured for the redressal of problems soon.
The chairman (JKHRW) alongwith his team conducted a surprise raid on a ration depot at Bandhi Gala Garoroo and checked the stock position and the supply of ration to the people and revealed serious misappropriation in supply of ration, the stock register showing issue of ration revealing false signatures and thumb impressions by fake persons having received the ration.
Besides this, many other misappropriations had been revealed during the raid. The matter alongwith full details inclusive of the confession statement of the dealer for the misappropriation done by the dealer( Manir Hussain) in writing and C.D. (Movie) Film, was also prepared capturing whole story is also given to worthy Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and S.P. Rajouri for the necessary action in this connection.
Kapoor appealed the CM to intervene into the matter personally so that the grievances may be redressed and people may have a sign of relief.
