Football: Young Rovers beat Young Hero 2-1

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, December 14: Young Rovers trounced Young Hero by two goals to one in the super league round of the ongoing Football League Tournament at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Young Rovers took early lead when Vishal Heer netted the ball in the 12th minute. The lead remained their in the first half. After the breather, Young Rovers scored second goal through Jyoti Parkash in the 50th minute of the match to take 2-0 unbeatable lead.
However, Young Hero fought back reducing the margin in the 54th minute with Tushar Gurang beating the advancing guard at the net.
Today’s match was officiated by Rakesh Kumar (centre), Rajiv Dev, Sohan Lal and Ricky Kumar.
Meanwhile, Vijay Club emerged as leader securing highest nine points with two games remaining. On the other hand, Churchill Brothers and Young Hero have seven points each with a match in hand.
