| MLA seeks shifting of firing range | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
MENDHAR, DECEMBER 11: Demanding adequate compensation for the family of a minor boy who was killed in a grenade blast in Mendhar recently, MLA Mendhar and PDP leader Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan has demanded shifting of the firing range from Mendhar.
In a statement issued here today, Khan regretted that a class 5th student Iftighar Ahmed got killed and his brother Mukthiyar Ahmed received severe injuries when a live grenade abandoned by the Army in the fire range exploded. He said already a numbers of people have received injuries in such incident so the firing range should be shifted to some other areas. He said that adequate compensation should be given to the family of deceased child because they belong to poor family.
Rafiq Hussain Khan said that he would take up the matter with the concerned Army authorities to get the firing range shifted as early as possible. He further asked the civil administration to immediate take up this issue with the Army authorities.
