| SS demands naming of park after Shastri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 14: Sangram Sena (SS) has demanded that the municipal park in Mohalla Kucha Nahar Singh (adjacet to Gadhadar Mandir, Mubarak Mandi ) be named after the doyen of Dogri literature late Ram Nath Shastri.
In a meeting of Sangram Sena, J&K, held here today under the chairmanship of its President Ram Rattan Raina, the executive body members of the Sena besides the respectable inhabitants of the Mohalla Kucha Nahar Singh unanimously resolved that a municipal park existing in the locality be named after late Ram Nath Shastri the legendry Dogri poet and writer.
The members demanded that a statue of Ram Nath Shastri be also installed in the park.
Ram Rattan Raina while addressing said that by putting the name of Municipal Park, Kucha Nahar Singh after Ram Nath Shastri will keep his contribution towards Dogri language alive.
While concluding he appealed the Municipal Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Jammu, for taking effective and immediate steps in this regard on the demand of the public.
