| Man stabbed by brother, serious | | | JAMMU, Dec 14: A retired army jawan stabbed his younger brother with a sharp-edged weapon, causing him serious injuries, at Sheikhpura Palota in Ramgarh area here today.
Police sources identified the accused as Bachan Singh, a retired army jawan, and the victim as his brother Gopal Dass. A land dispute was stated to be the reason behind the incident, the sources added.
Sources said Gopal was working in his field in the village when Bachan appeared on the scene and attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon, cutting his one ear.
The injured was undergoing treatment at the GMC hospital.
Police had arrested the accused and booked him in attempt to murder case. The weapon of offence was also seized, the sources added. |
