Political parities ignored Jammu’s interests: JSM
12/15/2010 10:30:56 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 15: Lambasting the NC-Congress coalition government and all other political parties including the BJP and PDP for adopting double standards, the Jammu State Morcha (JSM) blamed all these outfits for totally ignoring the interests of the people of Jammu Province even today.
Addressing a press conference here today, JSM president Capt Anil Gaur said that
in the light of the recent revelations of the dissenting notes of the two members of the State Finance Commission, the stand of JSM that there has been a gross discrimination against the people of Jammu Province since the last 63 years, which is still continuing till date has been vindicated and now these leaders stand exposed.
In all the 9 critical sectors of development the due share of Jammu region has been unjustly usurped & even now the leaders of these political parties refuse to acknowledge this and are silent on how to compensate this loss of Jammu Province to ensure equitable economic and political development. The Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues are daily blowing their trumpet of lies of how their government is treating all three regions of the State equally but are un-able to spell out the steps that will be taken to ensure how this exploitation of Jammu Province will stop.
Even Ghulam Nabi Azad who purported to be the first CM from Jammu region did not have the guts to implement the 1980’s Wazir Commission report of 3 districts for Jammu region and 1 for Kashmir region and buckled down in face of pressure of Kashmir parties - PDP and NC to give an extra 3 districts to Kashmir region thus perpetuating the discrimination against Jammu for all times to come.
