First Lady inaugurates art exhibition at Kala Kendra | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 15: First Lady Usha Vohra, inaugurated 5-day long Art Exhibition organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) at Kala Kendra here today. These art creations have been made by renowned artists from across the country during 7-day All India Painters Camp organized by the Cultural Academy, which concluded today. First Lady went around the halls and evinced keen interest in the paintings and other art creations on display. Addressing valedictory function of the All India Painters Camp on the occasion, Vohra appreciated diverse art creations put at display in the exhibition, adding that art has many manifestations and it transcends the daily rough and tumble of life. She emphasized need for helping the artists so that they are able to give their best to the society. Referring to the exhibition, first lady observed that the various art creations have been displayed very well and lauded the Cultural Academy for its commendable initiative to encourage the artists and promote various art forms. First Lady honoured the artists who had participated at the All India Painters Camp by presenting shawls to them.
