| PHE employees hold protest demonstration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 15: large number of employees drawn from Ramnagar, Dudu-Basantgarh, Chenani, Kud, Patnitop, Sudhmahadev, Latti-Dhuna, Katra,' Panthal, Tikri, Panchari, Bhomag, Majalta, Mansar assembled at PHE Complex Udhampur under the charimanship of Som Nath distt. president INTUC and vice president of PHE Employees Association Jammu Province, in which employees raised the slogans in support of their demands.
Theses include discrimination with Jammu region and justice with the employees and workers as about 20000 workers of Jammu region are getting Rs. 500/- per month where as in Kashmir they are getting 2100/- per month,. Besides the full benefit of essential service has not been given & pending. 1 % Day pay be released as already agreed, which is due w.e.f. 01-04-2007.
The also demanded that minimum wages act should be implemented in the Deptt., so that discrimination may stop.
Besides the protesting employees also presented the charter of other demands for the redressed for the govt so that their log pending demands may get fulfilled in the earnest.
