| Week long vocational training prog begins | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 15: One week vocational training programme was inaugurated in Knitting for farm women of village Magnar.
The training has been organized by KVK Poonch in collaboration with District Industries Centre, Poonch at community hall of village Magnar. On the inaugural day, Dr. R.K Arora (Deputy Director) explained the mandate and working of K.V.K. in the district and deliberated upon the importance of such trainings for the rural unemployed women.
Dr. Sanjay Khar (Programe Coordinator) of KVK Poonch encouraged the participants to develop the skills in such a way which could help them in adopting this enterprise as income generating unit by making Self Help Groups (SHG) and Farmers Club. Ranjit Singh (Instructor, DIC, Poonch) will inculcate skills of knitting to 20 female participants of different age groups. Others who spoke on the occasion are Pawan Kumar Sharma and Sudhir Singh Jamwal.
