| Director CA&PD reviews stock, supply position of essentials in valley. | | | SRINAGAR, November 06 – About 2.77 lakh quintals of rice 40,000 quintals of atta and 9000 quintals of sugar besides sufficient quality of K-oil and LPG are presently available in various godowns of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department (CA&PD) Kashmir.
This was stated in a meeting of officers of CA&PD department convened the Director, Mr. A. M. Wani to review the stock and supply position of essentials in the valley here today. Representatives of various companies and Food Corporation of India also attended the meeting.
The meeting also took stock of the dispatches of foodgrains and other essentials to Ladakh and far flung areas.
The Director directed the district officers to monitor availability of food grains and other essentials in the valley during the ensuing winter. He impressed upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication and be prompt in redressing the grievances of the people. |
