| GCW Parade holds Alumni meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 16: Government College for Women Parade Ground on Thursday organised an ‘Alumni Meet’ in the college premises. The objective of the meeting was to make aware the Alumnae about the measures taken by the college to enhance the academic ambience and to
invite suggestions from the members who are from different areas of professional competence.
The Alumnae Meet was chaired by the Principal of the college, Dr. Kiran Bakshi. A large number of Alumnae of the college including sitting, former college Principals and Professors, officers of administrative and Police Department, Doctors, University Officers Bank officials,
Political Leaders and faculty members of the college were present in the meet.
The Programme began with welcome address by the Principal of the host college Dr. Kiran Bakshi. In her welcome address she highlighted the objective of organizing the said meet. This was followed by Sarswati Vandna by the Alumnae of the college.
On this occasions Dr. M.S Pathania, Coordinator IQAC presented a power point presentation of different activities and achievements of the college.
Highlighting the aim of the Alumnae Meet, Dr. Pathania sought the suggestion of the esteemed alumnae regarding healthy and innovative practices to be followed by the institution.
There was healthy interaction and nostalgic sharing of experiences among the alumnae which made the programme lively and awesome. Earlier colorful cultural programme was presented before the audience in which alumnae of the college participated in different items
including two dances, Ghazals, Group Songs and Dogri Solo. The programme was compered by Prof. Meenu Mahajan and concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Sushma Mahajan.
