No room for laxity in expeditious execution of dev works: Rather | | | Early Times Report CHRAR-I-SHARIEF, Dec 16: Asserting that people’s interests are supreme to the government, the Minister for Finance Abdul Rahim Rather today said those creating hurdles in solving problems of the people would not be tolerated any more. He asked the administration to be pro-active and more responsive to meet the demands of the people of the state, who have suffered immensely due to neglect and enemies of peace. Addressing a public gathering after laying foundation of Rs. 2.15 crore steel decked bridge over Nallah Tulbren at Kakawring and road project from Kakawring to Chrawni near Chrar-i-Sharief in district Budgam, Minister said that people of the state want peace and prosperity adding that time has now come to provide healing touch to the suffering masses and fulfil their urges and aspiration. He said that unfortunately precious period of working season in Kashmir valley got wasted adding that men and machinery has been geared up to make up for this loss by infusing new vigor in the administration and executing agencies. “Given the situation, there is no room for any laxity or excuse in executing various development works expeditiously,” Rather added. Rather also announced to revive Arzan Garzan and Malapora Dam for which projects worth Rs. 23 crore and Rs. 45 crore respectively have been formulated these dams would provide sufficient irrigation facilities to bring a new green revolution in the area.
