JWAM stage protest against petrol hike | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 16: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) took out Shav Yatra of UPA Govt in protest against the rise in petrol price. Led by JWAM president Sunil Dimple, the protestors burnt the effigy of UPA Govt. Addressing the protestors, Sunil Dimple alleged that the rise in the petrol prices will raise transportation charges, fairs, the prices of all the essential commodities, eatables and petroleum products, which will add suffering to the common man. He appealed to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, MPs, MLAs of J&K to apprise the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and the Central Govt and register protest of the people of the J&K State with the UPA Govt for constant spiraling prices. He demanded Prime Minister and Chief Minister to take immediate steps and control the rising prices of essential commodities. He alleged that the poor man has become the victim and has started dieing of starvation. Sunil Dimple demanded the govt. to gear up its administration authorities and CAPD department to check rising prices.
