| PHE employees hold protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 16: A massive protest demonstration under the banner of PHE Employees United Front held here today wherein hundreds of PHE Employees participated.
The protest demonstration was held in support of the long pending demands of the serving employees of PHE Department.
The aggrieved employees shown resentment and shouted slogans at the protest demonstration venue against the Government which they alleged has failed in implementing the agreed demands of the employees as per commitments which were made with the leadership of the front at number of occasion in the past.
It may be noted that the PHE Employees have been demanded redressal of their demands such as all sorts of daily rated workers be given Rs. 110 per day instead of existing meager wages Rs. 500, 700 & 900 etc, release of remaining 1 ½ days gratia pay, transfers of the 4th Class Employees be made at section level instead of Sub. Division Level, restoration of pay scale of the employees who have been benefited under SRO-149 of 1973 & 59 and purchasing of now vehicles against the old condemn vehicles etc.
While addressing the employees during protest demonstration the senior leaders of the PHE Employees United Front has expressed their concern on the delaying tactics of PHE Ministers for not honoring their own commitments made on the demands of PHE Employees.
