MV squads conduct random checking | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: In order to ensure implementation of various provisions of Motor Vehicle Act, mobile checking squad headed by RTO Kathua Shiv Kumar Gupta, along with team comprising of ARTO, inspectors and other staff conducted road checking which started in the morning, continued overnight and ended at 10 a.m. Naka was laid at Barnoti and Lakhanpur. During the 24 hours long road checking, at mid night various bus drivers tried to give slip to Naka Party, when asked to stop the vehicle for checking, but most of them were successfully chases by naka party and on spot fine was imposed after compounding offence for violation of provision of motor vehicle act. Around 240 vehicles were checked, out of which 82 vehicles were found violating Motor Vehicle Act, their offence were accordingly compounded. On spot fine of Rs. 157150 was realized from the 82 number of vehicles which include 63 numbers of buses and 16 numbers of trucks and 3 Mini buses. Team of Motor Vehicle Department included ARTO Kathua Rajeshwar Singh Charak, Jaswant Singh, Vinod Kumar Chalotra and other staff. Of MVD Kathua.
