Army's animal husbandry course for youth at Mandi

JAMMU, Dec 17: Army has started a 3-month animal husbandry course for the unemployed educated youth at Saikloo in Mandi area of Poonch.The course was Wednesday inaugurated by Brig V S Sreenivas, commander of 93 brigade, in a function held at Saikloo, according to
army sources.
A total of 25 unemployed educated youth, belonging to different Mandi areas, had been selected for the course, the sources added.The idea behind starting the course was to promote dairy farming in Mandi and its adjoining areas.
The function was also attended by Dr Ismael Khan, superintendent of veterinary hospital, Poonch, and several prominent persons of the area.Dr Khan gave a detailed account of various government schemes in dairy farming for the educated unemployed youth of the state.
