Pankaj guides SCC to 34 runs win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, December 17: Srinagar Cricket Club (SCC) thrashed Durga Cricket Club Nagrota by 34 runs in first of the three-match Twenty-20 series started at Nagrota, near here today. Earlier, Srinagar Club won the toss and elected to bat first they made 164 for the loss of three wickets. Dinesh was top scorer with unbeaten 49 while Sunny contributed 43 runs. Gurvinder also chipped in with 30 runs coming off 25 deliveries. From Durga Club, Shabir took two wickets while Sandeep bagged one. In reply, Durga Club could not make it a good start and lost wickets at regular intervals resulting into whole side bowled out for 130 runs in 18.4 overs. Joginder and Manish were main scorers with 35 and 20 runs in their respective accounts. Pankaj Sharma was most successful bowler from Srinagar Club, who took five wickets. Gurvinder and Preet Pal Singh claimed two wickets each. For his superb bowling display, Pankaj Sharma was adjudged man of the match.
