| Court frames corruption charges against Patwari | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, December: 17 (JNF):- Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu DC Sagotra framed corruption charges against Patwari Balak Ram and retired Patwari Jangi Ram who was working as Tout for the Patwari.
In a complaint filed by S Ajit Singh r/o Korotana Kalan Tehsil RS Pura lodged with SSP VOJ on June 2, 2009 against Patwari Halqa Korotana Kalan tehsil RS Pura namely Balak Ram who demanded Rs 5200 from the complainant for getting the job done as the complainant getting his parental land transferred in his name after the demise of his father. The Patwari also took Rs 4800 from the complainant and demanded Rs 5200 more. On this complaint VOJ constituted a trap team, the complainant paid Rs 5200/- to Patwari, the Patwari directed the complainant to hand over the bribe amount 5200 to Jangi Ram who were sitting beside Patwari, on this direction, complainant handed over the bribe amount to Jangi Ram who after counting the bribe money kept the money in his pocket. The Trap team laid a trap and caught red-handed and after completion of investigation presented challan in the Court, Court after hearing both the sides framed corruption charges against both the accused persons.
