| Young Tigers win 3-1 in Football | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, December 17: Young Tigers registered a big 3-1 win over Young Churchill-B in the sub-junior football league tournament underway at Mini Stadium, here today.
Honey Mehra scored the first goal for winners striking in the 20th minute. It was followed by two more goals which came through Vikram Sawhney (25th) and Parul (55th). Later, Suraj reduced the margin netting the ball in the 60th minute of the match making it 3-1.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Baba Football Club held Churchill –C to a 1-1 draw. Taking first lead in the 12th minute through Umar, Churchill could not consolidate and conceded a goal in the 40th minute to find the score leveled at 1-1. Aman scored the equalizer for Baba Club.
Today’s matches were officiated by Vinay Mooman, Harneel Singh and Master under the supervision of Yusuf Don and Fiestus Sotra, members of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.
