Police-Public meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 17: A public contact programme was organized in Nawabad by police to inform police about the current security situation in the area and how people have to remain vigilant to avert any untoward situation. The programme was organized by SHO Nowabad, Inspector Ajay Bhat and Incharge police post Talab Tillo, Sub-inspector Ravi Singh Parihar. Over 50 participants took part in the programme. The participants were briefed about the present security scenario of the area and were asked to remain extra vigilant. The police officers suggested the participants to report immediately to police about any untoward or suspected thing or event they come across their in the area, so that necessary action could be initiated by police to avert any tragedy or untoward happening. “If any suspicious person or thing, unattended vehicle is found anywhere, report immediately to police, so that timely action is taken to avert it,” SHO Nowabad told the participants. He also told people to cooperate with police. The people told police that the private schools be told to replace the big buses by small ones so that traffic mess could be managed. The participants include ex-corporator of ward 30 Balwant Kumar, BJP leader Ayodhya Kumar, Vivek Raja, Vijay Batyal (president BSP), Som Raj, Sanjay Bandu, Jawahar Lal Koul (Block president Congress), Sanjeev Gupta, Mohan Lal Sharma, Capt. Jit Raj Sharma and Mohammad Shabir Sambyal (vice-president block president NC).
