| J&K Bank organizes Financial Literacy Camp at Shadimarg | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Dec17: J&K Bank organized a “Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling Camp” at Shadimarg in Keller Block of Pulwama district.
The Camp, organized in collaboration with District Rural Development Agency, was held under the aegis of Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling Center, South Zone.
The one-day counseling camp was attended by a large number of people including women and members of various self help groups.
The camp witnessed comprehensive and productive interactions of the people with various senior District and Block level government functionaries and bank officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary Panchayats apprised the people of various benefits of forming self help groups. The Project officer, DRDA, urged the people to shun complacency and avail the benefits of various credit linked government schemes. The Block Development Officer, Keller while elaborating the importance of banking in enhancing livelihoods urged upon the banks to ensure hassle-free services to the marginalized sections of the society.
The Senior Executive Manager and Director, Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) of J&K Bank also spoke on the occasion. They shed light on various schemes available with the bank for the rural entrepreneurs. They also provided information about the financial products of J&K Bank and assured the public to extend financial services to common masses at their doorstep through ICT mode.
