| Woman consumes poison, dies | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 17: A housewife today allegedly committed suicide by swallowing poison at her residence at Hiranagar in Kathua.Police sources said Soma Devi, wife of Ram Pal of Hiranagar, consumed poison at her residence.
She was admitted to the GMC hospital where she died. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to her family members for last rites.Police had registered a case in this connection. The cause behind the provocation was, however, yet to be ascertained.In another incident, Shiv Dev of Udhampur also consumed poison at his residence. He was undergoing treatment at the GMC hospital and his condition was stated to be critical.
