| Pick pocket arrested, stolen property of Colonel recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 17: Government Railway Police arrested a pick pocket and recovered stolen property of an army Colonel from him. Giving information SDPO Railway Dushyant Sharma said that an army Colonel namely Mahesh Sharma of Northern Command boarded Jhelum Express from Udhampur for Delhi few days ago. When the train reached in Jammu Railway station a pick pocket identified as Aijaz Ahmed Malik son of Ghulam Mohd Malik resident of Kulgam stole his wallet containing one gold chain, one pair of gold rings, Credit card and a railway ticket. His one hand set of Nokia was also stolen by him.
Colonel realized his belongings were stolen at Pathankote and accordingly he registered a case in this connection in Pathankote police station. Pathankote police gave the information to the GRP Jammu which during investigation lifted various suspects and on their disclosure police arrested the pick pocket and registered a case under section 382 RPC against him.From his possession police made hundred percent recovery of the stolen items, officer said. A message in this connection had also been conveyed to the Colonel.
