Govt politicking on KPs blood | | | Early Times Report Jammu Dec 18:In a bid to show their ability in solving deteriorated Kashmir situation to India and world communities, government and its paid agents are politicking on the blood of Kashmir Pandits (KPs), to which mixing of rehabilitation with employment package is a glaring example, stated P. L Kaul Budgami, Convener, Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC). Lambasting agents on government’s pay roll including 21 members of so called Apex Committee, Budgami said that these agents are denting cause of community by paving way to government in taking anarchical decisions for Kashmiri Hindus to which demanding unlawful undertaking from 1700 recently employed KP youth is evidence. Budgami asked why similar undertaking has not been taken from four and a half lakh state employees. In-spite of addressing core issues of Constitutional guarantee, minority status, reservation in local bodies and legislature, satellite township and due placement in decision making bodies, Budgami said that mingling employment with return of community amounts to the strategically bankruptcy of government. He cautioned community members to be vigilant against paid agents of government and not to fall prey to their designs. He said that Apex Committee members are not real representatives of the community and urged upon them that if they are really concerned about the community they should desert Apex committee by tendering resignations. Budgami expressed serious concern over the manner the employment package is being carried out. He said that calling it package and filling vacancies on merit basis does not match. He further added that all those educated who had turned over aged and are real victims of migration had been left and those with teen age had been appointed. He criticized appointing authorities for appointing more than one candidate from one family and leaving poor and deserving candidates behind. It is important to mention that frontal organizations including Panun Kashmir, Vichar Manch, All India Kashmiri Samaj and many others have already rejected the government’s idea of mixing return with employment package.
