Bhalla kicks off development works PHC at Lower Gadigarh soon

JAMMU, Dec 18: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla conducted an extensive tour to Bandhu Rakh, Lower Gaddigarh, Karan Bagh, Bhour Camp, Bhour Kothey and Preet Nagar areas today and kicked off various developmental works, to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 77.89 lakh.
While addressing the gathering at Lower Gadigarh near Karan Bagh, Bhalla said that coalition Government is committed to develop all the rural areas of the State at par with urban pockets by providing all basic amenities.
He asked the concerned authorities to complete the development works within stipulated time frame so that people do not face any inconvenience.
For mitigating the revenue related issues of the Karan Bagh, Lower
Gaddigarh, Rohi Morh, Old Satwari, Bhour Camp, Bhour Kothey, Chatha
Farm and Upper Gaddigarh and its adjoining areas, he said that
Government has earmarked Rs 1.95 crore for construction of Revenue Complex at Lower Gadigarh adding that the construction work would be completed by March 2011. For reducing the rush in city of temples hospitals, the Minister said that Government has earmarked Rs 2 crore for construction of Primary Health Centre at Lower Gaddigarh adding that after completing tender formalities, the work would be started on available proposed space.
Responding to the locals’ demands, he asked the R&B authorities to prepare estimate for construction of internal links of lanes and drains and submitted the same for funding at that the work could be started after making all codal formalities. He said a proposal is under active consideration for development of Rohi village as Model village on modern lines. Regarding installation of poles, replacement of worn out wires, he asked the PDD to immediate install the poles in uncovered areas and replace the worn out wires. For construction of deep drain at Bhour Kothey, he asked the Urban Environmental
Engineering Department to prepare detailed project report and submit the same for funding so that the work could be started for the benefit of general masses.
