Physiotherapists stage silent protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 18: After adopting a unique way of protest in the form of ‘begging’, the agitating physiotherapists today protested 'silently' against the state government demanding creation of jobs for them in the Health Department. Covering faces with 'white piece of cloth' written 'J&K Government' on it, the physiotherapists demonstrated outside old Divisional Commissioner's office amid slogans. ''We made all efforts to wake up the government from deep slumber but no attention was being paid to our month-long protests,'' Gagan Charak, Jammu and Kashmir Physiotherapists Association (JKPA) convener said. He said they staged 'silent' protest as there was no reaction from government's side despite raising hue and cry. ''It is better to remain mum rather than shouting for our demands. We want to protest 'silently' as government is 'deaf' and do not listen to us,'' the physiotherapist said. The strike of Physiotherapists demanding creation of jobs in various health departments has entered the 25th consecutive day.
