| Bali re-elected as president of handball association | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 18: The general body of the Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association today re-elected SM Bali as president of the Association for another term in an election meeting held here.
Ashwani Kumar Raina has been named general secretary and Krishan Lal Sharma as treasurer by the members present.
The general body meeting, as per a handout issued by the association, was attended by representatives from eight affiliated district units. These district units included Jammu, Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur, Srinagar, Baramulla, Bandipura and Kupwara.
Among others elected to different positions were Kuldeep Sharma (chairman), Ramanand Khajuria (vice-president), Ashok Kumar from Udhampur (vice-president), Nazir Ahmed from Baramulla (vice-president), Vivek Khajuria (organsing secretary), Rajinder Kumar (joint secretary), Ashwani Sharma (joint secretary), Riaz Ahmed (joint secretary) and Tariz Maqsood Lone from Kupwara (joint secretary).
In addition to their posts, Vivek Khajuria has been made chairman selection committee for women while Rajinder Kumar nominated chairman selection committee for men.
Former joint secretary of the J&K State Sports Council, Siddharth Sharma acted as observer from the J&K State Sports Council. To felicitate the conduct of election, State Sports Council allotted its conference hall to the Association.
