| BJP gearing up for Dec 24"Maha rally", Jammu being spruced up with posters | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Dec 18: The entire organizational structure of BJP in J&K is at present working overnight to give final shape to the preparations for its historic rally to be attended by its stalwarts from Centre on December 24. While leadership has been busy during this week in marathon meetings monitored by ‘Prabaharies’ from outside , the cadres down the line are now busy in actual physical work of decorating the whole city with flags and posters. The week beginning on Monday will see more such activity on roads and streets of Jammu. In run up to their December 24 'Ekta Rally' the state unit has started distributing publicity material including posters, hoardings and other literature to its various units for wider publicity in and around Jammu areas.
The publicity material carrying photographs of BJP national leaders including party President Nitin Gadkari, LK Advani, former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been specially prepared for distribution and in the coming days the entire Jammu city would be spruced up with these posters apparently to attract more and more common people for the maha rally.
BJP state Unit Chief Shamsher Singh Manhas along with other party leaders entrusted with the job of publicity took stock of the distribution and directed the party workers to make maximum use of the published material in popularising the agenda of the rally and informing the people about the arrival of national BJP leaders and party stalwarts on the occasion.
The BJP has planned this rally primarily to take on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in his own backyard over his remarks on the final accession of the state with the union of India and by holding meeting of the national office bearers of the party the BJP is in a mood to give direct signal to its adversaries that in the coming months BJP would sharpen its attack on the UPA policies with regard to the state of J&K
