| CEO Rajouri instead appearing in person sent medical certificate | | HC Directed CJM Rajouri to hold enquiry and send report | | Jammu, November, 6:- In a number of contempt petitions in which the High Court directed Qazi Nazir Ahmed Chief Education Officer Rajouri to appear in person on November 6, 2006, but today he has sent a certificate issued by Doctor A R Choudhary Phy Spl District Hospital Rajouri that he has been admitted in the hospital with effect from November 4, 2006. One of the petitioner Zameel Ahmed made a statement that the certificate issued by Dr. A R Choudhary is false, as on Saturday, Qazi Nazir Ahmed CEO Rajouri, has attended a function of Sports Mela on November 4, 2006, in which SSP Rajouri and DC Rajouri were also present and Chief Education Officer Rajouri distributed the awards and petitioners has also received an award from the CEO Rajouri.
On the statement of petitioner Justice Nirmal Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing took serious note of the matter and taking into consideration these facts directed Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajouri to hold an enquiry to find out whether Qazi Nazir Ahmed CEO Rajouri was admitted in the District Hospital Rajouri on November 4, 2006 and if admitted on November 4, when he has been discharged. CJM will also collect the record from the District Hospital Rajouri and send his report before the next date of hearing. In these number of contempt petitions Advocate D S Chouhan appeared for the petitioners and Deputy Advocate General Neeru Goswami appeared for the respondents. |
