Preetpal, Chotu help SCC win in friendly tie | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, December 19: Guided by superb innings played by Preet Pal and Chotu, Srinagar Cricket Club (SCC) registered a five-wicket win over Raipur Cricket Club (RCC) in a friendly Twenty20 match at Satwari ground, here today. While Preet Pal bowled well taking important four wickets, Chotu contributed 40 runs to the total. Earlier, RCC won the toss and decided to bat first they set a target of 141 runs which SCC chased in 18.4 overs losing five wickets. Deepu was top scorer with 35-ball 40 runs including two sixes and three boundaries while Kala contributed 30 runs studded with four hits to the fence and a six. From SCC, Preet Pal bowled extremely well taking away four wickets while Sunny Bakshi and Pankaj Sharma shared four wickets between them. In reply, SCC attained the goal for the loss of five wickets sparing 1.2 overs of their innings. Chotu played a quick-fire knock of 40 runs off 25 balls including four boundaries and a six. Puneet and Dinesh chipped in with 20 runs each while Rishi and Rahul remained unbeaten on 22 and 15 runs respectively. Bunty claimed three wickets and Chetan bagged two from RCC.
