| SR College organises workshop for IAS / KAS aspirants | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 19: The SR College of Competitions, Jammu today held a workshop cum seminar aiming at the students appearing for KAS mains examination 2010.
A panel of experts from the field of Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy and Geography dealt in detail about various facets of examination.
In this seven hour lecture session, followed by interaction session, about 200 students were guided by experts.
The inspiring lectures were a great experience for the students, who expressed their thanks to the organizers for offering them such an opportunity with an excellent experience of sharing time with quality people.
Students expressed desire for holding of such seminars by the institution frequently.
The participants posed a number of queries which were deftly handled by experts and students were given guidance regarding time management, kind of questions to be attempted, presentation skills in writing, scoring areas of the subject and comparative analysis between the optional. Students were made aware of the technique, how to study a subject in a systematic manner.
Students were also guided about General studies, its various components, their respective weightage and an in-depth analysis of past years question papers. This exercise drew instant response from students and many of their myths and queries were addressed.
