| Sainik School Nagrota organises ex-students meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 19: As an annual feature, Ex-Students Meet was organised at Sainik School Nagrota here today. A large number of ex-students of this premier institution of J&K turned up on this occasion along with their families. The programme began with the School Song presented by the School Choir.
Speaking on the occasion, Group Captain Ajay Kumar, Principal of the school mentioned that the school is taking rapid strides in producing excellent officers in the Armed Forces and in other walks of life as well.
Further, the Principal gave a resume of the substantial work done during the past year to fulfill the top priorities of the school viz renovation of Chenab House, Setting up of Smart Class rooms and Maths Lab, Construction of Auditorium etc.
He informed that the school lifted the overall North Zone Inter Sainik School Sports Championship. The School Basketball team went on to win the Inter Zonal Championship at Sainik School Chittorgarh and the School Hockey team stood Runner-up. He exhorted the old boys to contribute to the welfare and progress of their Almamater.
While speaking at the gathering the Chairman of NEXAS Randhir Singh Billoria mentioned the sad demise of some of the Ex-nagrotian and the entire gathering observed two minutes silence to pay tribute to the departed souls. Later the 1985 passed out batch of Nagrotians celebrated their Silver Jubilee year.
