| NMC demands release of pending DA installment | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 19: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed the Chief Minister to release 10 percent pending DA installment from July last in favour of State employee and pensioners on the eve of Christmas.
Addressing a largely attended NMC workers rally here today, President NMC Subash Shastri emphasized should be released immediately after the announcement to this effect is made by the central government and any delay in doing so defeats the very purpose in the event of continues rise in prices of essential commodities.
Pleading the cause of working class particularly the daily wagers Shastri called for their immediate regularization as they high hopes form the coalition government headed by Omar Abdullah.
Shastri urged the Chief Minister to reconsidered the decision announce for payment of 50 percent 6th pay commission arrears and work out modalities for its in cash. He suggested that state government should take up the matter with the centre for providing a special package to J&K for the purpose.
