| Serial killers gang busted in Gurgaon | | |
Gurgaon, November 6 The Gurgaon police claim to have busted a gang of serial killers arresting five youths, aged between 18-28, who confessed to have killed 26 persons since January this year.
The police said the victims had boarded their maxi cab as passengers. These youths would strangle the passengers and take away their cash and other valuables, dumping their bodies in manholes and open drains.
Ashish Bhagoria (23), an MBA from Gwalior, whose decomposed body was recovered from a gutter in Sector 29 on Sunday, was the last victim of this gang. Bhagoria had come to Gurgaon to apply for a job. His friend Rohit had told police that on October 29, he had boarded a call centre cab "from somewhere in Delhi" to get to Gurgaon. That was the last time he had heard from him.
Gurgaon police suspect that this gang may have committed similar crimes in Delhi and Faridabad. This gang had allegedly murdered a youth who was carrying Rs 20 in his pocket and had dumped his body on the side of National Highway 8 near Shikohpur last month.
Police said the gang members confessed to having killed eleven passengers and dumping their bodies in manholes and drains in Gurgaon.
