Koul re-elected as President of Jammu IT body | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 19: The apex body of the computer and IT industry in Jammu, the Jammu Computer Dealer Association (JCDA), today re-elected Microcom System Pvt Ltd managing director Arvind Koul as its President. Koul defeated BBC Computers Pvt Ltd''s Rakesh Badyal to be elected as JCDA President for the second consecutive term, a JCDA spokesperson said here. Koul was earlier elected as president of the JCDA in 2008. JCDA has over 105 computer and IT business houses as its members, which have a cumulative annual turnover of Rs 1,500 crore. In the elections, which were held at Hotel K C Residency, Roht Jandiyal of Aditya Technologies defeated Rajesh Gupta of JK Automation to be elected as JCDA Senior Vice-President, while Rajeev Majotra of Viraj Infocomm was elected to the post of General Secretary unopposed. The committee members have been elected for a period of two years. They will now select five executive members to assist in the association''s activities. Speaking after his re-election, Koul stressed upon the steps that need to be taken for the betterment of the IT industry at large.
