| People deprived of basic facilities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua , Dec 19: The residents of the ward number of 17 held a massive protest under the leadership of NSUI district president S. Paramjeet Singh against the district administration for depriving the people of the area from development of lanes and drains and water facility.
Paramjeet Singh said that the people of the area are basically poor and totally deprived from the facility of concrete streets and the clean drinking water due to which the people are suffering from various problems but the administration is looking at this like a mute spectator.
On the occasion the president of the NSUI approached Dy Chief Minister Tara Chand about the problems telephonically and in response the latter assured the aggrieved resident to see into their road and water problems.
Along with residents, the NSUI activists warned the district administration if the problems of the people were not mitigated shortly then it should be ready to face the resentment of the people.
In the protest Asha Rani, Pinky, Rani Devi, Sudesh Kumari, Neelam Mehra, Vinay Kumarand etc were present.
