| Programme on knitting concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 20: KVK Poonch organized a one week vocational training programme on ‘Knitting’ for farm women of village Magnar.
The training was organized in collaboration with District Industries Centre, Poonch at community hall of village Magnar. In the concluding function, Dr. Arvind Ishar, SMS advised the trainees to make use of training given to them and form a Self Help Group (SHG) and work collectively to uplift their economic status. He also offered them full help from KVK in formation of such SHG’s. He advised the participants to motivate other women of the area to attend such training programmes organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Poonch.
During the programme, the participants learned to make woolen caps, pullovers, gloves, socks and some other woolen clothing. Speaking on the occasion, the participating women thanked the organizing departments for their initiative towards economic upliftment of rural folk and requested to organize such more trainings which can help them in enhancing their income.
