JKVM warns against confusing employment with return | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 20: Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM) has cautioned the government as well as the displaced community against confusing the recent employment package with the Return of the exiled community In a meeting of the Manch which was presided over by the state president Bushan Lal Bhat, the JKVM council took note to the fact that only about 1600 persons of the community have been employed under the package, that too under harsh debilitating conditions. It is a moot point whether the conditions so impose dare good in law. JKVM is examining the legal position in this regard. Meanwhile, it was noted that there are thousands of unemployed youth who are eking out hard living in different parts of the country because of the totaling difference of the earlier governments, who did not make any provisions forgiving the unemployed youth of the community a due share in the nearly 2 lakh 50 thousand employments that were made during the last twenty years. It was also pointed out, that during this period more than 12,000 KP have retired from government service. This chunk of state employment was also denied to the unemployed of the displaced community. Vichar Manch in general and through its apex body member Dr. R.L. Bhat has taken due note of the apprehension expressed by certain Kashmiri Pandit individuals, social activists and one-man parties etc. regarding the recent employment package for Kashmiri Pandits and the longer issue of the return.
