| Corruption galore in education department in Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 20: It seems government has totally turned blind eye towards the corruption and corrupt officials in Kathua district.
Though corruption is rapidly increasing day by day but talking about the Jammu and Kashmir which is already the runner up in the corruption making list is not ready to give up the decision of decreasing corruption it in the state.
Corruption lays in each and every department and one of the glaring examples of the education department .In every department, without corruption no government work is being done.
In Kathua those working in education department mostly use influence of politicians to get plump posts. One such example of the employees of district Kathua, the employees of the education department is not satisfied from the department.
It is meant a trend of education department that first to deployed the employee and after that they adjusted the employees under the recommendation of some high profile people.
At every 10-12 kilometer the posts is vacant then is no fun to deployment.
Pertinently, no transparency has been provided by the authorities in the posting of the transferred masters between June-July 2009. The sources revealed that a lot of bribe has been taken by the officials in this regard. People from the far off places are finding it difficult to have their pay from their native places like Bilawar, Bani and other. Sources also informed that many related headmasters are harassing them and the main headmaster is not paying attention to their problems.
Senior citizens demanded anti-corruption and the government authorities should keep a keen vigilance on these postings so that the harassment of the masters could be avoided in the area. They also demanded the inquiry in the case of the harassment of the masters by the officials.
